Meet The Team
Dr. Samantha R. Colautti Hons. BSc., D.C. |
|
A desire to understand how living systems were organized and regulated led Dr. Colautti to earn her Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto in 1994. Wanting to use her new-found knowledge in order to positively empower and change the lives of others, she applied and was accepted to the Doctor of Chiropractic program at CMCC in Toronto from which she graduated in 1999. Upon graduation, Dr. Colautti was invited to join a multidisciplinary practice consisting of physicians, a naturopath, a personal trainer and a massage therapist. Her three years in that office afforded her the opportunity to make a lot of contacts and develop a better understanding of our healthcare system generally and specifically the need for a greater understanding of what chiropractic care is and what it has to offer. To that end, she decided to design her own natural health clinic and Advance Family Chiropractic & Massage Therapy was born. In the years since she began in Bolton, Dr. Colautti is proud of the reputation she and the other members of the office have acquired for thoroughness, compassion, quality of care and extraordinary results. Dr. Colautti was introduced to chiropractic in her 20’s as a means to relieve the near-constant neck pain that had developed in her teenage years. She soon discovered that her pain was a result of uncorrected physical trauma that had probably occurred in her childhood. That revelation steeled her resolve to provide care to people of all ages and stages of life from pregnant women and infants through to senior citizens. Dr. Colautti updates her knowledge and technique through regular seminar attendance and is a member in good standing with the Canadian Chiropractic Association and the Ontario Chiropractic Association. She is a Fellow of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and is a certified Activator Methods technique provider and Webster In Utero Constraint Technique provider. |

Robert C. Del Medico R.M.T., C.A.T., Cert. Hypno. |
|
A life-changing accident in 1991 catapulted Robert Del Medico into the field of healthcare. Personal experience and hospital-based training gave him a profound insight into the complexity of injury, healing and rehabilitation. After gaining his diploma as an orthopaedic technician, Robert went on to study massage therapy. He graduated in 1997 from Sutherland and Chan (one of the world’s most respected schools of massage therapy) and has spent the intervening years adding more “tools” to his treatment repertoire. Robert is now able to count acupuncture, osteopathic techniques and hypnosis among his treatment options. He has great interest in the understanding of acute and chronic pain within the context of the causes and treatment of biomechanical dysfunction and myofascial pain syndromes. Robert is a member in good standing with the Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario (RMTAO) and the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). |
